Asharqia Chamber urges represented by
the Small and Medium Enterprises center the owners of these enterprises
to participate in the sixth edition of Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi award
for the best promising facility.
Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel said that Asharqia
chamber launched this award years ago with the aim to activate the role
played by small and medium enterprise to support and motivate the national
economy in general and the economy of the eastern region in particular, and
increasing the awareness among small and medium business owners and
motivating them to show better levels and promote the concept of
initiative among investors and encourage small and medium enterprises to
creativity and renewal and innovation and framing the concept of quality of
small and medium enterprises and encouraging them to reach the highest levels
in this matter and the promotion of small and medium enterprises to play a
bigger role in the consolidation of the concept of saudization in the
region".
He added that this award is given to fifteen promising facility of five
selected sectors (with three facilities in each sector) which qualifies the
owner of the establishment to several advantages are: "intensive promotion
of the facility through the media coverage of special award and publicity
and promotion for the name of the entity in the Press data, the
announcement about the property in the Journal of the economy and showing the
logo inside and outside the chamber. He pointed that the nomination for the
award is according to several conditions: " the identification matching to
the facility used by the chamber of each sector and the presence of a head
office and clear address to the facility within the eastern region, and to be
owned or managed by Saudi citizens, and should have been started less than
ten years of the project, in addition to the availability of commercial
registration or license, with the participation of the Chamber and all are
valid. The Committee has confined the sectors their owners are allowed to enter
the competition for the award that is organized by the Small and Medium
Enterprises improvement center once every two years as the following:
( industries and supportive and light services, entertainment,
tourism, restaurants, business services and information technology, educational
services, training and consulting, engineering design services and decoration),
a choice of three institutions of each sector takes place (ie 15 candidate
institutions are nominated to win the prize).
It is worth mentioning that the committee supervising the award
includes in its membership a group of experienced members in the field of
small and medium enterprises from the Chamber and outside, of university
professors and officials, and pioneer businessmen.
